Hi people! i know its been so long since i last updated my blog, sorry...i've been rather busy with work and stuff..and my computer has been have a flu and a temper these days..like sometimes not really working that well...anyway...yup i'm doing ok now..i guess i'm slowly blending into this serene environment...haha...
Guess what...i just cooked green bean soup just now...haha i can just feel myself morphing into a typical singaporean housewife...haha now in training...haha....yup..and the day before yesterday i cooked sweet potato soup with ginger....ooooh..it was really yummy...but i had a fartin fit after that man...it was crazy....haha..but at least it solved my dry throat and heatiness...
dunno why..but it's only til i come here that i realised how CHINESE i am...i mean it's like i have so much chinese tradition and culture inbuilt in myself that my thinkin and way of doing things are....like when i cook, i only can cook chinese dishes, or that i only want to eat chinese food, so i only really recall the food that my mum cooks at home..and somehow that's all i really want to eat...homecooked chinese food..haha...yup...like i've been eating mee sua n fish, or stir fried chicken with dark sauce and dried chilli w a dash of vinegar...
No matter what..i still prefer chinese food compared to potatos and burgers and all...haha but fortunately for me, i have 2 housemates whom really can cook really well...but mostly mediteranean food..(since they're aussies)..but the house really smells nice when they cook..yup...that's somethin i lack when i cook, the aroma...but the taste is ok..haha i successfully can cook cabbage rice already...
guess why i keep talkin bout food...cos i study it..it's terrible...cos during nutrition lectures or tutorials..i think of food..and i think of my cravings for ice cream and what nots..haha...yup...
listening to diana krall now...it's so touching...and romantic..love her music...makes me feel like slow dancing..haha...with who...dunno yet...but it's just so....hopelessly romantic..haha...
