Some wonderful thoughts from last night's msg in church about bgr..
it really changed my mindset and outlook of relationships...
1) Love is not just a fuzzy wuzzy feeling when u snuggle with ur loved one, or just spending time with the person. Love is about knowing the person through and through, and loving the person for who he is. It is about deeply understanding and truly loving the person.
2) A relationship is not about how much u can touch the person, but how much u can know about the person and remain faithful to him.
3) It is a commitment between two people in view of marriage. (what's the use of just trying out and not committing to anything, all that remains after that is just hurt and sorrow.)
4) Liking someone does not mean we have to be romantically involved with that person, it can also mean that we can be best pals forever.
5) Dating can spoil friendships (and i've known quite a few cases that happened that way)
6) Being in a relationship does not mean that we have to lean into the other person, in such a way that if he was to go away (eg die or break up), we won't be able to live. Even though both people are together, they are still individuals with their own minds and personalities. Life goes on, the world is still spinning. (i know it's easy for me to say, but when u put ur faith in God and let him take the first place in your life, even though painful, it will be easier for u to endure than living without him.)
hmmm..that's all for now..there's actually more, but was scared i'd bore u..but these are really meaningful, and if u really stop to think about it, it will make more sense...=)
